Our Story
Reviving the sweets of our heartland
Mithila Thekua began with a simple ache — the sweets we grew up with, the thekua of Chhath mornings and the tilkut of Gaya winters, were getting harder to find made the right way. So we went back to the source.
Today we partner with artisan families across Bihar and Jharkhand to bring their heritage recipes to kitchens across India — freshly made, honestly sourced, and packed with the care they deserve.

What we stand for
Pure ingredients
Desi ghee, real jaggery, fresh khoya and hand-picked dry fruits. Nothing artificial, ever.
Artisan partners
We work directly with sweet-making families in the towns these delicacies were born in.
Made to order
Small batches, freshly prepared after you order — never mass-produced or stockpiled.
Heritage recipes
Time-honoured methods passed down generations, kept alive for a new one.
How we prepare our sweets
From heritage recipe to your home
Four careful steps stand between our kitchen and your first bite.
Source
We hand-pick jaggery, desi ghee, khoya and dry fruits from trusted regional suppliers — no shortcuts on ingredients.
Slow-cook
Small batches are roasted and reduced on low flame, the traditional way, so every flavour develops fully.
Handcraft
Artisans shape, mould and roll each sweet by hand — the human touch machines can never replicate.
Pack fresh
We make to order and seal in airtight, food-grade packaging so your sweets arrive as fresh as the kitchen.
